The “white crusader saves the day” trope is beyond out-of-touch.
It’s insulting. This movie, while potentially well-made, looks seriously problematic.
I’m a bit disheartened that I’m not hearing this from anyone else…

Leave it to Oliver Stone.

JFK couldn’t have prepared us for this. Oliver Stone can make even an innocuous script read like poison on the screen.
